OUR FIRST ANNUAL DANCE SEASON REGISTRATION OPENING SOON
Diamond Maxwell, a West Philadelphia native, developed a passion for dance at the tender age of three. She began her training at L&L Dance Productions, where she studied a variety of dance styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, and acrobatics. At the age of 13, Diamond was introduced to Cha'Yvon V Dessus, professionally known as BSwan, who featured her in several productions, including The Diary Of Bswan (2014), The Evolution Of Bswan (2016), and BLXCK OUT (2018). As the youngest artist, she embodied BSwan's motto, "BRare, BNoticed BYou." Diamond continued her training at Franklin Learning Center majoring in FLC DANCE, studying under Dana Williams, and excelled at The Philadelphia School of Dance Arts, where she joined PHILADANCO'S D3 Youth Ensemble. Here she honed her skills in classical ballet, pointe, modern (including Horton and Graham techniques), jazz, and acrobatics. As a high school student attending Straight To the Pointe Dance Studio, she focused on ballet, modern, jazz, and modern-afro styles, becoming a company member and co-captain for three and two years, respectively. Diamond also set a portion of her time training at The Philadelphia Sixers Dream Dance Team, Young Performing Theater Camp (YPTC), PureProject Company 2, Next Generation Dance Conservatory, and Grace Dance Theater Summer Intensive, further enhancing her knowledge and expertise in dance. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Director of iBalance Dance Studio and Rehearsal Director of iBalance Dance Company, fostering a safe and creative environment for students to express themselves through the art of dance. She is also a company member for BSwan Dance Company and teaches at various dance schools in the Philadelphia area. Diamond's foremost objective is to excel in her talents by learning, sharing, and impacting her students with love, passion, and knowledge, just as her teachers did with her.
Diamond Maxwell has rebranded herself as Diamond Amore, aspiring to establish a brand that caters to the passionate dancers and propels them towards greatness in their art.
